To be honest, I wasn't a fan of this for a while, which is why it took me some time to upload - I spent ages trying to get the background and shading right but it just didn't feel like they were coming together and it was beyond frustrating. But, after I added the crown (and spent even more time on it whoops) it didn't look so bad uvu

I chose a stained-glass window for the background because, apart from the fact that they're pretty and I've been wanting to try drawing one for a while now anyway, Horatio is based on a historical figure (and his personality fits that) so it suits him imo. The crown (although not strictly accurate seeing as Fortinbras is the one who ends up on the throne in the end) is meant to signify his noble, dedicated nature uvu
besides i had to get his eye colour in there somewhere so now he has a face jewel and he looks pretty so shh
